Hello, this is the Peaty editorial team.
I believe every whiskey lover has faced the dilemma of wanting to enjoy a curated selection of whiskey with their meal. While various bars can be found with a bit of research, it’s not easy to find restaurants, like izakayas, that offer a wide range of whiskey options.
With that in mind, Peaty will introduce izakayas where you can enjoy whiskey! We especially aim to highlight establishments with a great selection of Scotch whiskey.
In this article, we will introduce restaurants in Tokyo Station where you can enjoy whiskey.
Belgian Brasserie Court Ghent (Pub)
This restaurant offers traditional Belgian cuisine and juicy, flavorful rotisserie chicken.
The interior, adorned with genuine antique decor, makes you feel as though you’re dining in Europe. The name of the restaurant is derived from the real Belgian city of “Gent.”
Inside, the wood-tone tables and chairs, along with the warm orange lighting, create a cozy atmosphere. There are various seating options, including tables, semi-private rooms, and counter seating.
Located just a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Station, it’s a lovely spot that’s perfect for a casual stop after work!
The signature rotisserie chicken is roasted to perfection in a specialized oven, making its taste exceptional. Since it’s cooked after you order, it’s recommended to fill your stomach with some Belgian dishes or drinks while you wait!
Although it’s a beer pub, there’s a rich selection of whiskey available. They offer options like “Bowmore 12 Year,” “Laphroaig 10 Year,” “Glenfiddich 12 Year,” and “Macallan 12 Year.”
The juicy rotisserie chicken pairs perfectly with a refreshing highball. A particular recommendation for a highball that complements the dishes is Glenfiddich, which has a fruity essence reminiscent of pears.
With its sweet, light, and elegant mouthfeel, it’s easy to enjoy during meals, making it an excellent choice for women as well!

Yakiniku MARUGO (Yakiniku)
This restaurant offers delicious yakiniku with a rich variety of hormone (offal) options. Yakiniku pairs well with any type of alcohol and is generally loved by most people, making it a safe choice when selecting a restaurant! The interior, featuring a stylish mix of brown and black, creates a modern atmosphere. Seating options include table seats, private rooms, semi-private rooms, and counter seating, so you can enjoy your meal in any setting.
Additionally, the restaurant is equipped with smoke-free roasters, allowing you to enjoy your meal without worrying about smoke!
The menu features rare hormone options like tsurami (cheek), shimacho (small intestines), and nodogoshi (throat).
With a wide range of courses centered around exquisite hormone, as well as other meats like harami (skirt steak) and tongue, it’s a paradise for meat lovers!
As for whiskey, they have a selection that includes Scotch, bourbon, and Japanese whiskey, along with the Taiwanese whiskey “Kavalan.” They also offer an impressive range of Scotch single malts, such as “Glenmorangie 12 Year,” “Talisker 10 Year,” “Laphroaig 10 Year,” and “Macallan 12 Year!”
The combination of the spicy Talisker with the meat is a match made in heaven, so be sure to try it! Especially when paired with roast beef rice topped generously with black pepper and a glass of Talisker, it’s simply indescribable… I can’t wait to eat it!
The location is conveniently near the International Forum, making it easily accessible from Yurakucho.

Pom Dadan (French)
This restaurant offers a breathtaking view overlooking Tokyo Station while enjoying French cuisine. Pom Dadan is located on the 8th floor of the Marunouchi Hotel, directly accessible from the underground of Tokyo Station.
The interior features terrace seating with views of the outside, as well as table seats and private rooms. Being inside a hotel, it can be utilized for business settings or private gatherings, although it may not be the best fit for casual get-togethers among colleagues.
The cuisine is crafted by a chef who takes pride in French culinary techniques. Guests can choose from several course options, as well as à la carte selections including fish and meat dishes.
The whiskey selection includes Japanese brands such as Ichiro’s Malt and Hibiki, along with single malts like “Glenmorangie 10 Year,” “Caol Ila 12 Year,” and “Macallan 12 Year.”
A recommended pairing is the Caol Ila with the chef’s recommended fish dish!

The menu features a wide range of dishes, from easy-to-eat options like pizza and pasta to shareable items such as ajillo, pickles, and carpaccio.
In addition, the whiskey selection consists of around 15 types, mainly focusing on Scotch single malts and bourbons. The single malts include five varieties: “Bowmore 12 Year,” “Laphroaig 10 Year,” “Macallan 12 Year,” “Royal Lochnagar 12 Year,” and “Glenmorangie Original”! Whiskey lovers will be delighted!
A recommended pairing is the dessert “Classic Gateau Chocolate” with “Royal Lochnagar,” which once held a Royal Warrant. The exquisite dessert and the elegantly sweet notes of Royal Lochnagar make for a perfect match!

The rich flavors of the Neapolitan pasta wash down beautifully with the refreshing Hakushu highball, making it feel like you could eat it endlessly.
Since it’s located inside Tokyo Station, it might be a bit tricky to find. You can take the escalator up to the second floor in the connecting passage between the Marunouchi and Yaesu exits. It’s near Kurobei Yokocho.

Summary
Here’s a compilation of places near Tokyo Station where you can enjoy both whiskey and food. I’ve selected establishments that offer a wide variety of whiskeys and diverse food options.
While many of the restaurants around Tokyo Station have unique atmospheres, they tend to be on the pricier side. I find that they are often suitable for entertaining VIPs visiting from overseas. While they’re also great for dates and girls’ nights out, there may be fewer casual spots for a night out with the guys.
If you’re looking for a night to enjoy whiskey, I encourage you to visit these places on the list! I’ve also included recommendations for whiskey spots in nearby Shinbashi and Ginza!
